Expression Of Interest - Musician Call Out
Project Information
While the pandemic came as surprise to us all, how we lived through it and with it has been different for each and every one of us. The pandemic has affected us in many varied ways, and many of us have stories to tell.
Healing can happen through sharing experiences. By telling our own stories and listening to others’ stories we will enhance community connectedness and build stronger bonds with each other.
The Shire are collecting community stories that will be used to collaboratively develop a short documentary, live music, and mobile projections that will be launched at the inaugural Arts & Culture Festival in April, 2022. We are now looking for a group of up to 5 local musicians to be part of this project.
The group will be awarded $2,000 to write an original song responding to the project themes of connection, reflection, and sharing stories. The song can be based on personal experience, friend’s stories, or community stories collected by the Shire. Each musician will also receive $100 per performance to undertake 4 performances across the festival.
