Footpath Fiction

Footpath Fiction is a temporary writing installation featuring the works of Peninsula Writers’ Club members. It is held throughout Rosebud in collaboration with Mornington Peninsula Shire – Arts and Culture.

We invited our writers to submit a six-word original fiction piece.  These were then designed into a chalk-art story share along local footpaths and laneways, reflecting on the theme of COMMUNITY.   Chalk artists included Rondelle Douglas  &  Jackie Green.

This project decorated the footpaths of Rosebud from November 2020 – July 2021, making many of our Mornington Peninsula Writers officially ‘side-walk published’.

About the Peninsula Writers Club

The Peninsula Writers’ Club  connects, encourages and enriches amateur, aspiring and professional writers (and readers) of all ages.

Our mission is to actively promote and facilitate a vibrant literary voice, enhancing the skills of writers, and contributing to the creative culture and storytelling of the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding communities. We welcome all writers, from newcomers to the already-published, from novelists and bloggers to poets and journalists.
