About Sarah Austin

Sarah Austin’s exhibition at the Somerville Community Art Space presents an immersive, multi-part installation that weaves a cohesive poetic narrative across multiple art boxes.

Drawing from idioms, phrases, and fragments of contemporary dialogue, the works reflect the fluid and fragmented nature of communication in today’s fast-paced, information-driven world. Rooted in a deep personal connection to the Mornington Peninsula, Austin’s practice explores themes of language, belonging, and memory, inviting viewers to engage with the evolving conversation between place, identity, and art.
