As part of the Mornington Peninsula Music Plan 2025, we are focusing on fostering connections, supporting a diverse musical culture, and laying the groundwork for music investments on our Peninsula.
Live music thrives on creativity and connection. MP Music Industry brings together emerging and established artists, venues, events and professionals to collaborate and facilitate growth in the Mornington Peninsula’s music community.
Get onboard and Make Music Matter
The goal of the MP Music Industry: Make Music Matter branding initiative was to establish a distinctive identity that our local music community can proudly embrace.
The success of the brand will be evaluated based on its adoption and use within the community in the coming year. From musicians and venues to events, music schools, recording studios, and beyond, the MPMI brand aims to be community-driven and inspire widespread recognition of our local Mornington Peninsula music scene.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED!
- Host, perform, or attend live music gigs, and post about the local music scene? Use #makemusicmatter and #mpmusicindustry to help us find and promote your events.
- Use our#makemusicmatter GIFs on Instagram (search "makemusicmatter" in GIFs).
- Encourage your peers to sign up to the Make Music Matter eNews for updates on opportunities, events, and more.
- Display MPMI stickers and other merch on cars, venue windows, or instrument cases—get creative! Need merch? Contact us.
