We're inviting The Arts community to collaborate with us on sharing your 'Behind-the-scenes' reels. We want to share your story and uncover your process behind your creations.

Title:  Sunday scenes: The Arts uncovered

Posting Schedule:      Sundays from 10am

Why collaborate?

• Build stronger connections between artists and audiences through authentic, behind-the-scenes content

• Strengthen the visibility and value of the arts within the broader community

• Showcase the diversity and creativity of our local arts community

• Provide artists with a platform to tell their stories and promote their work

• Grow your online following and reach new audiences

 

How to collaborate on reels?

1. In your Instagram account, create your Reel.

2. In your text ensure you tag @mornpenartsandculture and use other relevant tags.

3. Hashtags to use:
     - Creative art/performing arts: use the hashtag #OurCreativePeninsula

     - Music industry: Use the hashtag #MakeMusicMatter

     - Heritage or culture: #OurCulturalPeninsula or #OurPeninsulaHeritage

4. Select the Collab Feature: Instagram allows users to collaborate directly through the app by using the Collab feature. Once your reel is ready to post, simply invite @mornpenartsandculture to be a collaborator. The post will be shared on both profiles.

5. Schedule your post from 10am on Sunday

6. Arts and Culture will accept your collaboration.

 

Content Pillars – what to share?

Creative Process

• Studio snippets, rehearsals, sketchbooks, rehearsals.
• Moments of experimentation, failure, and discovery.
• “A day in the life” content from different artists.

Artist Voices

• Short interviews, Q&As or self-narrated clips.
• Artist reflections on inspiration, process, or challenges.
• Cultural and personal stories that inform.

Tools & Techniques

• Close-ups of materials, instruments, or tools in use.
• Time-lapse videos of work taking shape.
• Demonstrations of niche or traditional techniques.

Work in Progress to Final Reveal

• Before-and-after transitions.
• Unveiling new pieces or performance previews.
• The journey from idea to completion.

 

Reel selection

To be considered, reels must be tagged as outlined above. While we can't guarantee every submission will be featured, we’ll do our best to spotlight as many from the community as we can.
