Police Point Shire Park

This bushland reserve is situated between the Police Point complex of historic buildings and the neighbouring Point Nepean National Park.

Bunurong people count the area as having significant cultural value and was used over successive generations for thousands of years.The reserve provides a refuge for the Long-nosed bandicoots amongst other rare fauna. Moonah woodland and grassy calcareous swales make it idea habitat for these small marsupials. It is also home to the Mornington Peninsula Artist-in-Residence (AiR) program.

Visitors can make use of short walking trails and explore the area before settling off on longer walks through Point Nepean National Park.
