Artist Bio

Glenys van Dorssen is a printmaker whose work unites flora and fauna and creates a deep connection between nature, history, and the environment. Distinguished by their textured layers and naturalistic colour palette, these hand-modified prints, the ‘Australian Animal’ Series, are achieved through the fusion of the Eco printing method with other time-honoured printmaking techniques. By combining traditional and contemporary techniques, Glenys creates a distinctive, modern aesthetic that pushes the boundaries of conventional printmaking while paying homage to its heritage. The intricate layering of mediums generates a captivating depth, drawing viewers into a deeper awareness of our environment and its fragile ecosystem. Her innovative contributions to the field have earned her numerous awards, and her work is showcased regularly in local exhibitions.
