Community Arts Space: YAWA

Yawa Aquatic Centre in Rosebud is a state-of-the-art Shire facility designed to encourage community health and connection offering year-round water-based activities and wellness programs. Visitors can also unwind, socialise and connect at the on-site destination cafe, Elements Eatery. ‘Yawa’ draws its inspiration from its indigenous meaning ’to swim’ and our unique coastal landscape of the Mornington Peninsula. 

Located on prominent walls within the entrance of the Centre (the main thoroughfare from the car park), this exhibition space aims to:

• celebrate and champion the work of a local artist.
• promote awareness and appreciation of our creative communities.
• ensure that our public spaces are stimulating and engaging for visitors.
