Big Mural Opportunity – All Walls, All Yours!
Mornington Peninsula Shire is looking for a talented mural artist to transform several walls of our brand new annex at the Animal Shelter & Pound into a vibrant, uplifting artwork.
Location: 130 Watt Rd, Mornington
Installation: 29 Sept – 5 October 2025
For over 30 years, we’ve cared for cats, dogs, livestock, and pocket pets—helping them on their journey to loving forever homes. This brand new, purpose-built annex expands our current site and will be the special place where prospective dog owners meet and interact with dogs for the first time.
The blank canvas includes:
Internal and external walls
Corridor ceilings and awnings
Freshly built surfaces ready for your design
We want a mural that:
Captures the joy, warmth, and personalities of the animals we care for
Celebrates the bond between animals and people
Creates a welcoming and inspiring space for visitors, staff, and volunteers
Who we’re looking for:
Experienced mural artist (or artist team)
Proven ability to work on large-scale projects
Skilled with durable, outdoor-friendly materials
Available from 29 September – 5 October 2025
Budget: $10 000 (ex GST)
