Peninsula Writers' Club – A curated program of literary events

 

Funding Amount: $9,000

This project is a series of engaging and collaborative writing events to encourage and promote the storytelling voice and talent of writers of all abilities, genres and disciplines on the Mornington Peninsula. 

  • Stencilled Stories: A Trail of Tales: this event to include an online, accessible map to bring schools and other interested groups to the Mornington Peninsula to view and follow the story trail.
  • Story Slam: A Spoken Word event with the aim to develop skills in writing anecdotal stories and techniques in delivery.
  • ·-Writing Workshops: a series of four writing workshops presented by award-winning Australian authors, to develop the craft of writing and provide professional development, skill and confidence building and community interaction.
  • Profile building: Increasing the marketability of our writing community through the creation of re-usable photo stock to support members with building their profile and a creative community package for aspiring (publication ready) members to develop an image portfolio.
