Performing Arts Development Grant

$23,590.00

'When The Water Stills' is a 7-track EP and experiential storytelling series by local artist Mietta, designed to foster connection with the lands and waters of the Mornington Peninsula. This project emphasises access and celebrates the diversity of stories that shape our community, featuring music and storytelling in non-traditional, place-based venues.

Through four in-person gatherings, in collaboration with regenerative and environmental organisations, it invites reflection on our relationships with place and community. The events explore themes of awe, generational strength, communing with people and place, and individual and shared responsibility, encouraging deeper co-creation and connection among people and the environment.

This grant funding will support EP Production, event costs, performers and speakers whilst also supporting the creation of four short films through Darling Films.
