‘Play for Now & I give you my word(s) #1’ is an exciting new theatre season by leading Peninsula Youth Theatre Company – Dreamhouse. Under the mentorship of local and Melbourne based professional theatre practitioners, 30+ ensemble will take part in the development of a series of new theatre works: a full length play and first stage presentation of 10 short plays. ‘Play for Now’ will be a magic realist work, re-imagining a new Australian plan, through the convergence of powerful embodied acting, stunning set, costume, sound and lighting design. Mentorship of the emerging writers will be provided by a professional playwright, as part of the development process.

This grant funding will support the director, writer and mentor fees.
