‘A Way of Seeing: Mornington Peninsula’ is a multimedia event that invites viewers on an intimate journey into the creative worlds of local artists Baden Croft and Liam Waldie, offering a glimpse into their unique perspectives and artistic practices shaped by the Mornington Peninsula’s natural splendour. Building on the success of their first film ‘A Way of Seeing’ set in Tasmania, filmed and edited by Cam Myers, the second instalment in this celebrated series transports viewers into the awe-inspiring landscapes that fuel the creativity of the featured artists. This time, the focus shifts to a region intimately connected to their lives. From the wild, crashing waves at Gunnamatta Beach to the ancient, mist-shrouded coastal rainforests of Main Ridge and the fossil-laden shores of Mount Martha, the film showcases the stunning natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula - right in the artists' own backyards. Croft and Waldie’s works reflect the delicate equilibrium of nature, honouring the fleeting moments deeply entwined with their surroundings.

This grant funding will support filmmaker Cam Myers to produce the film in alignment with NAVA rates.
