PULSE – Spill Projects

Performing Arts Development Grant

$32,800.00

PULSE is a time and place to (re)connect with place and Country, to play, learn and create collective futures. An exciting program of place-responsive art and performance is being developed to take place at Coolart Homestead and Wetlands in 2026/27. This will be accompanied by a dynamic public program of workshops, discussions and artist talks. A selection of local and non-local artists will respond to the site’s rich historical, ecological and cultural layers. First Nations perspectives will be foregrounded with renowned artist Maree Clarke and her protégé Mitch Mahoney attached to the project. Local artist and ecologist Gidja Walker will develop a performative poem and video work informed by her extensive knowledge of these environments.

This grant funding will support a portion of artist fees, curatorial fees, production expenses and consultation with Bunurong Land Council.
