Portrait of an Eco-Warrior – Noa Smith Fletcher

Creative Grant

$9,322.50

In celebration of the talented and dedicated educators and environmental advocates/activists of the Mornington Peninsula, this Flinders Fringe Festival 2025 event, held in the Flinders Village Common in the centre of Flinders, will provide visibility and access for all of the community to take part. The event will spotlight community members dedicated to living in harmony with nature and ensuring a healthy future for our region. It will feature an exhibition of 20 large-scale portraits capturing renowned local Indigenous and non-Indigenous environmentalists and eco-warriors. These portraits, taken by Mornington Peninsula documentary photographer Noa Smith Fletcher, will be accompanied by short audio interviews with some of the subjects. Recorded in situ with their portraits, these interviews will allow the communities of the Mornington Peninsula to hear their powerful messages for the planet.

This grant funding will support photography, audio recording and editing.
