“Wetlands” is an interactive art-piece that is open to you all to participate in! We want to reflect Westernport Bay’s rich biodiversity by creating this sculptural landscape flora and fauna cutouts. Join Hyphae Cocreates in viewing, walking through and adding colour to this spatial narrative as we reclaim the street for Park(ing) Day.

Hyphae Cocreates is a community and environmental art project, facilitated by Gretel Tobin and Joshua Davies. Inspired by their love of making and sharing creativity with others, they invite participants to openly contribute on a large scale surface -weaving our physical and emotional surrounds into a collection of visual, spatial and auditory stories.

Hyphae Cocreates for their work to reflect the natural world and communities we exist within. To pursue this, they guide community art projects so that they incorporate elements the surrounding environment, choosing colours and textural elements that reflect the landscape. By activating spaces with art and community, Hyphae Cocreates provides a platform for people to engage with their surroundings and each other in a deeper, creative way.

In March 2024 Hyphae Cocreates received funding from the Blackbird Foundation to develop and further pursue this passion project. This funding has been a springboard for them to imagine art projects at different scales, and hopefully bring these projects to more communities.
