"I picked up a paint brush for the first time in 50 years following a significant brain injury, due to a brain aneurysm, stroke and brain surgery. Creating has been a defining way to find new purpose and move forward in a positive direction. It has also enabled me to reconnect with my local community. In my practice I enjoy exploring themes of movement, emotion and the natural world and I use variety of different techniques and materials to help me express this. My work is intuitive, expressive and colourful. Colour is particularly important to my work as it reflects my positive outlook that anything is possible.”
