Exhibition Title: Group show Peninsula Plein Air Painters

Artist Statement: 

The Peninsula Plain Air Painting Group has been running for over 30 years. It brings together a group of like-minded artists who enjoy working outdoors in the ‘plain air’. Artists in our Peninsula Plein Air Painting Group come from a variety of backgrounds, many have completed university fine art degrees, but the group welcomes any person wanting to paint outdoors, from beginner to the advanced professional. All that is required is an appreciation of our beautiful Peninsula.

The group was started by Mr Edward (Ted) Young, who passed away in 2024. Ted was a renowned artist with paintings sold all over Australia and overseas and was known for encouraging and mentoring artists in the local community. The group continue his legacy by meeting every Thursday to paint and draw at different locations across the Mornington Peninsula.
