Local Music for Portsea Tiny Town Awards video
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for an original instrumental composition of 2 minutes to accompany a short cinematic film promoting Portsea for the 2026 Top Tourism Town Awards.
The video will form part of a statewide awards program and be shared across tourism and council digital channels. The film showcases outdoor and water experiences including coastal walks, Stand up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, swimming and time by the sea sitting alongside moments reflecting local history and the character of the village. Clifftops, pier views, open skies and relaxed social scenes will all come together to tell the story of Portsea.
The primary objective is to capture emotion and a genuine sense of excitement, discovery and connection. The music should feel coastal, contemporary and inspirational, building gently and carrying warmth and momentum.
This is an opportunity to have your work featured in an official tourism campaign, credited across promotional material and aligned with a high-profile regional submission.
Selected track will receive payment of $500
Requirements
- Local Mornington Peninsula musicians only apply
- Instrumental only (no vocals)
- Ability to meet project timeline
The selected composition must be supplied with full usage rights for ongoing Council and tourism promotional use (including digital, social media, website, events and presentations).

Shortlisted artists will be provided with the final draft video to allow for timing adjustments and refinement prior to completion.
