Mornington Peninsula Shire invites Expressions of Interest from local artists, designers and makers to design and produce a bespoke prize for the winners and highly commended entrants of the Mayor’s Short Story Writing Awards.
This commission offers an opportunity to create meaningful, high-quality keepsake pieces that celebrate storytelling, creativity, and connection to the Mornington Peninsula.
The selected artist will design and deliver a suite of 10 pieces to be presented as official awards.

Suitable formats may include jewellery, small-scale sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, glass, textiles, or other durable art forms
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Work in a relevant creative discipline (including but not limited to jewellery, visual arts, ceramics, woodwork, glass, textiles, or mixed media)
Budget
A total fee of $2,500 (incl. GST) is available for this commission. This must cover all costs, including artist fees, materials, production and postage/delivery.
