Peninsula Music Society Bursary

For over 20 years, Peninsula Music Society has awarded bursaries to assist young musicians to further their music studies. 

In 2026, these awards will provide an opportunity, exclusive to local primary and secondary music students, living in the Mornington Peninsula or Frankston City. In 2026, the Bursaries will also be available to Tertiary Students

Applicants must be studying: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Recorder, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone or Tuba with the minimum standard of AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent.

All students must present two contrasting pieces of music, no longer than 10 minutes, from different eras and provide their own accompanist if required.

Auditions will be held on Sunday 21 June at Peninsula Grammar School, Mt Eliza. Successful Bursary Winners will then perform at the Bursary Winners Concert on Sunday 19 July at 2.30pm.

Applications close Friday 12 June at 5pm.
