The Creator Network - Panel discussions from our creative women
Post-event wrap-up: The Creator’s Network – Creative Connections
Celebrating the Stories of Our Creative Women
On Monday 23 June, the Somerville Mechanics Institute Hall came alive with storytelling, connection and creativity as we gathered to celebrate the stories of remarkable women from across our Peninsula.
Presented by The Creator’s Network, this special evening brought together an inspiring panel of creative women for conversation, insight and live performance. With Tracee Hutchison, award-winning broadcaster and long-time advocate for the arts, guiding the discussion, the audience was taken on a journey through the experiences, challenges and triumphs of our local creatives.
The panel featured:
- Dunja Rmandic – Director of the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, who shared her thoughts on the power of curation and arts leadership.
- Holly Ryan – A proud First Nations artist and designer, whose work connects contemporary design with deep cultural heritage.
- Kelly Nash – Performer and storyteller, who brought humour and heart through her reflections on a career in stage and screen.
- Inanna Indigo – Wotjobaluk artist and frontwoman, who shared the importance of voice, representation and self-expression.
The evening was beautifully capped off by a live set from singer-songwriter Emily Jane Pritchard, whose music created a warm and uplifting close to the event.
From spontaneous connections to thought-provoking conversation, Creative Connections reminded us of the importance of platforming women’s voices and celebrating the creative spirit of our region.
“What a joy to facilitate such powerful, generous, inspiring and insightful stories from our incredible panel. The Creators Network is such an important way for our creative community to support each other, see each other, and celebrate each other. Here’s to many more wonderful events!” - Tracee Hutchison, broadcaster and journalist
“It was great to spend an hour with the amazing peninsula women & to hear from the younger members of our community about their stories, perspectives & things that are important to them” – Dunja Rmandic, Director of Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
