Mornington Peninsula Shire has partnered with The Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS to deliver the Live and Local program, a 12-month project designed to strengthen the local live music community.

This initiative focuses on best practice strategies to build capacity, foster growth, and provide long-term support for the local live music industry through the two key roles of Live and Local Venue Liaison and Live and Local Policy Consultant.


Live and Local: Venue Liaison

We-re is seeking a highly skilled Live and Local Venue Liaison to help amplify the local music scene. If you have deep experience and connections in the live music industry, this is your chance to shape the future of live music on the Peninsula.

Over 12 months, you'll work with the Shire to grow the capacity of local live music communities. You'll be the key point of contact for new and existing venues, providing tailored guidance and support to help them introduce or improve their live music programming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a business advice program for venues.
  • Programming and delivering two micro-festival events, matching local musicians with local businesses.
  • Building a database of musicians and venues.
  • Participating in a mentorship to better understand the regulatory frameworks impacting the live music industry.

This is a unique opportunity to use your expertise to build a vibrant and sustainable live music ecosystem. We're looking for someone with 4+ years of experience in events, live music, or arts programming, and a strong understanding of artist booking, venue development, and production.
